Cat6 Ethernet Extension Cable Male-Female with Screws - White - 25 FT

It extends a wired Ethernet connection by adding length and placing the RJ45 port where it’s easier to reach. It’s useful when the original cable is too short or when you want a more convenient connection point for a PC, console, TV, or access point.

A standard patch cable is male-to-male. This cable is male-to-female, so it creates an extension port rather than requiring two male ends and a coupler.

They allow you to mount the female RJ45 jack more securely on a surface or in a project opening. This helps the port stay stable when you plug and unplug devices, which is a common pain point with loose couplers.

Common spots include desk grommet openings, inside AV cabinets, under a countertop edge, on the side of a media console, or near a wall pass-through where you want a clean access point.

Yes. It uses standard RJ45 connections and is compatible with common network devices. Your actual speed depends on your router/switch port speed, the rest of your cabling, and your network plan.

Yes, it supports PoE for compatible devices. Make sure your PoE switch/injector and the powered device match the PoE standard you’re using.

• 0.6 ft: for tight installs inside cabinets or patch areas where you just need a short extension port
• 3 ft to 5 ft: for desks, shelves, and media consoles
• 8 ft to 10 ft: for reaching around furniture or getting to a better access point
• 25 ft to 30 ft: for longer runs inside a room or across a workspace without chaining cables

It can serve a similar purpose by giving you an easy-to-reach RJ45 port, but it’s still a cable extension. If you need a permanent in-wall-rated solution, a structured cabling wall plate and in-wall-rated cable are the better choice.

In a typical home or office setup, a Cat6 extension cable is designed to maintain stable performance. If you see speed issues, the cause is often network hardware, damaged ports, or a weak connection point rather than the concept of an extension cable.

That’s one reason the screw-mount female port is helpful. Securing the port reduces stress on the connection point during frequent plug-ins, which supports a more reliable long-term setup.
