2-Prong to 3-Prong Grounding Adapter - Black

A polarized plug has one blade wider than the other, so it only inserts one way. This adapter is designed to match that polarized orientation for compatibility with polarized 2-prong outlets.

The grounding tab is meant to be secured under the outlet cover plate screw. If the outlet box is grounded, that connection can provide a grounding path through the adapter.

No. It does not create grounding on its own. Grounding depends on the outlet box being properly grounded.

Loosen the cover plate screw, align the grounding tab, tighten the screw so the tab is secure, then plug the adapter in and connect your 3-prong device plug.

The ear is designed to make removal easier. It gives you a better place to hold when unplugging, especially in tight spaces behind furniture or equipment.

It helps your fingers grip the adapter more securely, making installation and removal easier in everyday use.

No. It converts plug style, not outlet count. It gives you a 3-prong receptacle format from a polarized 2-prong outlet setup.

It works well as a travel and tool-kit item because older buildings and older outlet locations still show up in guest rooms, workshops, and offices. Just make sure the outlet condition is solid and the grounding tab is used correctly when grounding is needed.

It confirms the adapter’s intended capacity for typical household circuits. The right choice still depends on the device you’re powering and the condition of the outlet and circuit.
