3-Outlet Rotating Flat Plug Cord with Foot Switch 16 Gauge

Q: Is this a grounded extension cord?

No. This is a 2-prong extension cord, so it is non-grounded. Use it with devices designed for a 2-prong connection, and follow the device requirements listed on the product label.

Q: What does “360-degree rotating flat plug” change in real use?

It lets you set the plug head angle in any direction, so the cord routes cleanly from tight outlets. This helps behind furniture and cabinets, where a fixed plug can force an awkward bend.

Q: How does the on/off foot switch work, and what is it best for?

The switch controls power to the outlets from the cord itself, so you can turn connected devices on or off without unplugging. It’s commonly used for lamps, holiday lights, and small plug-in accessories.

Q: How many outlets does this extension cord have?

It has three outlets at the cord end. All three share the same total capacity, so the combined load should stay within the cord’s rating.

Q: How Can I Tell If My Devices Are a Good Match for This Cord’s Capacity?

Check the device label or power adapter for watts (W) or amps (A). If it lists watts, total the watts for everything you plan to run at the same time and keep that total within the cord’s capacity. If it lists amps, add the amps and stay within the cord’s amp rating. This is especially important when using all three outlets at once.

Q: What does NEMA 1-15P mean, and will it fit my outlet?

NEMA 1-15P is the standard 2-prong plug style used with many indoor outlets. If your outlet accepts a 2-prong plug, it will fit. If your device requires grounding, choose a 3-prong grounded cord instead.

Q: Which length should I choose (3 ft, 4 ft, 5 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, 10 ft, or 15 ft)?

3 ft to 5 ft: best for nightstands, end tables, and tight lamp setups6 ft to 8 ft: a strong fit for living rooms, desks, and TV consoles10 ft: useful when routing around furniture or across a larger room edge15 ft: best when the outlet is farther away and you want one clean run Choose the shortest length that reaches comfortably without pulling tight.

Q: What’s the difference between “with cradle” and “without cradle” options on the page?

“With cradle” adds a mounting holder so you can secure the switch in a consistent spot, such as a wall, desk side, or cabinet. “Without cradle” keeps the setup simple if you prefer the switch to stay free.

Q: Can I use this cord behind a couch or bed?

Yes, that’s a common use. The flat rotating plug helps with clearance at the wall, and the switch makes it easier to control power without reaching behind furniture. Route the cord so it is not pinched under legs or sharp edges.

Q: Is the On/Off Switch the Same as Surge Protection?

No. The switch is for convenient power control, meaning it turns connected devices on and off without unplugging. Surge protection is a separate feature found in dedicated surge protectors. For sensitive electronics, plug this extension cord into a surge protector (or use a surge-protected power strip) based on your setup.
